Time goes by so quickly…
Today is the 30th Birthday of the Apple II computer:
Along with the old Commodore Pet and the TRS-80, the Apple II was one of the pillars of the early personal computer industry. It’s scary to think I went out and bought an Apple II when it first came out – and that it was an upgrade to my MITS Altair that I built myself from a kit.
Loading programs off of cassette tape and having a real monitor was an unimaginable upgrade from toggling programs in to memory via the front panel then watching the flashing LED’s.
Kind of puts everything in perspective…
